"Walk The Walk!?"

SPECIAL FOR THE ISCF: As we all know, MMA has grown tremendously over the last few years. However, the "Quest for the Best" is still a question that needs to be answered each and every year if not every day. WHO REALLY IS THE BEST? Every month, amateur MMA fighters are hoping to get that shot to fight on a certain promotion to prove themselves to their peers. Sometimes they are even given the opportunity to be matched up against another "LOCAL" fighter for the "Promotional Companies" title. This is a great idea for those in the belt making business because there are now more Amateur and Pro MMA Champions than there ever were Kickboxing Champions. The reference here is because in the 90's, it seemed that EVERYONE in kickboxing was a kickboxing world champion, but none of these champions had ever fought each other. The quest for "Unification Bouts" as they do in Professional Boxing was never even discussed, making the "Title" holder anything but "Special" among their peers.

Sadly, like it became in kickboxing with all kinds of promoter created sanctioning organizations, many of these "Promotional" titles are not "The Best Vs The Best" but instead, whichever two fighters the promoter could put together locally and who would both agree to fight each other. If pro, the agreement was for the right price...Not right for the fighter, but a low purse the promoter could pay. Promoters became their own sanctioning bodies like Paul Smith and his IFC. Smith would basically pull the names of titles out of his magic promotional hat just to create a hype for his events. His biggest FLOP among many "Ethical" ones was his creation of his "Native American Indian World Title" where he matched up two native Americans with NO MMA EXPERIENCE on a Northern California show he was paid to produce and they fought for a WORLD TITLE. The result? Smith walked away with thousands of dollars saved by not finding real talent for the casino that hired him and the event? Well, it FLOPPED!

Paul Smith's promotional ethics in the MMA world were not alone though. There are other promoters out there worse than Smith fooling the public with their claim of "Best vs Best" in their own "Promotional Titles". Sometimes the fights are great, and rightfully meant to be a local title. However, even at the highest level, the fight fans of MMA have been fooled for some time now.

We can ALL AGREE that promotional companies such as the UFC and Strikeforce have done GREAT things for the sport! However, what many are unaware of is that their title fights are not necessarily "The Best Vs The Best" but instead, the best of the fighters "They" have under "Their" contract. We may never see a Strikeforce Champion against a UFC Champion because both promotions would ask the same question if asked to do so... "WHY?"

Well, we as fight fans would love to see the best of UFC face off against the best of Strikeforce (As an example) but it will never happen. This is because BOTH if not all Pro promotional companies believe their champion is the best champion and there is no need for them to fight anyone outside their organization. Adding to this, many fans don't really care who holds what title as long as the fight is good... Right? Well, maybe to the average Joe, but not to the TRUE MMA FIGHT FAN.

These true fans WANT and DESERVE to see "The Best Vs The BEST" but we may never see it at the pro level. All we can do is "THANK" Promotional Companies such as the UFC and Strikeforce for keeping the sport of MMA on TV so it builds as well as educates more and more great fans to the sport.

HOWEVER, while we can't do much at the pro level unless we win a zillion dollar lottery, we CAN do something about finding the TRUE and REAL Champions of MMA at the Amateur level, and this will be the THIRD year of such a venue.

There is only one place you will ever see those who TRULY BELIEVE they are the BEST go HEAD TO HEAD! This one place is open grounds, open to any and all amateurs. No worry of IF you will get on the show to challenge a fighter you think you can beat, but may never get the chance because the promoter is protecting him from an unknown Gladiator such as yourself. At this event, the fighters themselves control their own destiny. As the saying goes, "If you build it, they will come!" And come they do... As the ISCF did as it's sister organization the IKF did for the sport of Kickboxing. (IKF World Classic) Who comes to this event? THE BEST AMATEUR MMA FIGHTERS NOT AFRAID TO WALK THE WALK DO! Never heard of it? Well, if not, than you haven't been trying to be the best in your sport have you... This November, the ISCF will host the THIRD Annual ISCF MMA World Classic! This is not just a fight event. it's a place for you to show your peers what YOU can do. This is the one and only true Golden Gloves for Amateur MMA Fighters. The weekend is November 13, 14 and 15th and simply put,

"If you are an amateur fighter, and you are not there, you must be afraid to fight the BEST to become the BEST!"

You ask if that's a challenge? No, it's the truth! The ISCF was the first ever MMA Sanctioning body and the first to ever offer a TRUE OPEN Amateur MMA Championship tournament. A venue where there was no question as to mismatched fights or favored champions. It's a head to head elimination competition for the "Quest for the BEST!"

Now come November, the excuses will fly from those Bragging they are a great Amateur MMA fighter, but can't make it to the MMA World Classic. "I can't afford it" - "I have school" - "I can't get off work" - "The dog ate my car." etc. etc. Hey! Shut-up and SLAP yourself!

This is not a "Please come so we can make money off you" tournament by the ISCF. The ISCF will invest over $30,000 into this event for YOU! The gross income will be less than half that. So WHY does the ISCF host this event every year? Simple answer, the ISCF SLAPPED THEMSELVES and said, "Winners DO what losers Won't!" Sure, others have tried to do open MMA tournaments. However, in the end, the matches are NOT random and the biggest thing, the rewards are CRAP!

The ISCF believes, if you are going out of your way to "Be The BEST!" The ISCF want's to make sure you look the best wearing that ISCF MMA World Classic Title Belt! The SAME BELT ISCF PRO Champions wear!

So, by 5:00 PM Today, the first of several registration deadlines will have come and gone. Are you an Amateur MMA Fighter "CLAIMING" to be the BEST? Or are you an Amateur MMA fighter willing to prove to your peers that you ARE THE BEST? Come November in Kansas City Missouri, we will see who the REAL Amateur MMA champions are. those willing to "Walk The Walk" instead of "Talk the Talk." so are you just a Talker? Or are you ready to prove to your peers, that you are one of the BEST Amateur MMA Fighters in the world? Opportunities such as these only come once a year. Will you find excuses? Maybe regret it afterwards and say "I should have went!" Should have, would have, could have... These people are a dime a dozen. This is why there are so few REAL CHAMPIONS in life. it's EASY to stay home and win your local promotional title. But those who make the sacrifices to be at the MMA World Classic are the ONLY fighters, WIN OR LOSE worthy of the bragging rights of those who will be here. Those who share this among them towards you, who did not sacrifice to BE THE BEST;

You who Talk a lot of smack, but were afraid to back it up in the cage of battle against your peers to see who really is, THE BEST OF THE BEST! To you I simply reply, SHUT UP and go Home! This is a Gladiators Sport! A sport meant only for REAL Gladiators, and not those who are afraid!"
